Reconciliation Festival
Art & Science for a beautiful world
August 2023-2024-2025
Fermata
After three years, I am sad to announce that Reconciliation Festival is now coming to an end. It has been a beautiful adventure, but despite all our efforts, I was unable to secure sufficient financial support from cultural institutions, and the festival did not reach a large enough audience to continue. Sustainability has always been a pillar of our work, but with only one permanent volunteer handling the administration and programmation (myself) and less than ten volunteers during the festival, it is easy to understand that continuing was no longer possible.
I would like to express my deepest gratitude to all the artists who joined us on this journey, and once again thank our sponsors who made it possible. One small comfort in having such intimate audiences is that I came to recognize so many of your faces. Over these three years, it has meant a lot to see you returning to our events. Thank you for being with us.
As I wrote at the closing of our second edition: we are the breath of the world, and we are empowered to help it change. I wish you a beautiful journey on this planet we share, and I hope the moments we experienced together at Reconciliation will continue to inspire you.

The instagram account is renamed to Time_Reconciled, a tribute to the name of the association, den gjenfunde tid, Time Regained, in english. Den gjenfundne tid was finalist for the 2025 Prize “Årets Inspirasjon” nominated by a jury of professionals from Norske Kulturarrangører.
Our Vision
Reconciliation festival was a festival located in Stavanger region, Norway. Our vision is guided by the United Nations Agenda 2030 and the UN Sustainable Development Goals. We believe and want to demonstrate that art and science together can contribute to build a beautiful world and create greater social bond. The festival prioritized active participation, especially aiming to engage children and young people as they are the citizens of the future. Therefore we offered them a diverse range of artistic and scientific workshops and invited them to voice their ideas. Additionally, artists and the public were invited to join our beach cleaning initiative in collaboration with Clean Shores association.
